July 8-14, 2018 SUMMER CAMP!
This was our first year at Camp Friedlander. Everyone had a good time earning lots of Merit Badges and working towards Rank Advancements. Even WON the camp relay! We'll be returning next year.
June 9-10, 2018- HFP Triathlon and canoeing/fishing
Due to storms Friday evening, trip was postponed until Saturday morning. This still left us with enough time to get in some good canoeing and fishing on Saturday. The evening saw a great job of everyone 'battening down the hatches' to ride out a storm, then we arose early on Sunday to work the triathlon. Good time!

Thunderbase 2018- May 4-6, 2018
May 4-6 was spent at the Council Camporee of Thunderbase. Loads of activities for everyone to do and just a few (thousand) of our Scout friends to share the experience with. A little damp Saturday afternoon, but we still had a good time!

April 21-22, 2018- Wildcat Hollow Backpack
April 21-22, we headed down to Wildcat Hollow for a backpack to get outside and break in the new guys! Younger Scouts did about 6 miles total, while the older Scouts headed out on a planned 11 mile day one. Due to an 'old-guy' injury, the long hike had to be aborted at mile 5, but we still managed to meet up at the same campsite as originally planned. Great weather and a great time!

Bluespring Caverns
March 16-17, 2018 We drove the 4.5 hours to Bluespring Caverns (South of Indianapolis). Went on a boat ride on the longest navigable underground river in the US and did a little wild caving as well as learned about caving. Even got to spend the night in the cave!

2018 'Bean Soup' hike
February 16-18, we stayed at Camp Otterbein and did our own version of the Hocking Hills Winter Hike...minus 3,000 of our closest friends and standing in line for buses! It was a bit muddy, but a great hike!

2018 Iron Chef cookoff
January 26-28, 2018 we headed to Sequoia Lodge at Camp Falling Rock for the annual Iron Chef Cookoff. After checking out Dawes Arboretum with a chilly hike Saturday morning, we started the cookoff. Everyone did a great job and the judges had a tough decision..............This year's winner, and new holder of the 'We ate no weenies' trophy, was the Albino Rhino Patrol. Way to go guys!
