Brendan Murphy, Brent Lewis Manage Service Projects

Brendan Murphy
Brent Lewis and scouts clear brush

Brendan Murphy and a small band of fellow scouts, family members and his dog Sid Vicious designed and built a covered community message board in Shawnee Hills.

The completed project can seen right behind the Shawnee Hills Police complex, off just off Dublin Road.

Brent Lewis, scouts and family spent two days clearing brush and debris from the Chapel in the Woods at The Riverside United Methodist Church.

Brent, his dad and Mr. Johnson are now putting the finishing touches on a new pulpit for the chapel.

Scouts Brave Cold, Enjoy Horseback Riding at Marmon Valley

Hearty Scouts from Troop 185 Bundle Up, Saddle up

It was  little chilly -  OK, make that a LOT chilly - with Friday night temps dipping into the low teens.

Regardless, scouts from Troop 185 crawled out of their warm sleeping bags to enjoy horseback riding and wall climbing at Marmon Valley Farms in Bellfountaine.    They even got a special lesson from the emergency preparedness merit badge counselor.
